....Secrets Of Success

By Ebenezer K N Baiden-Amissah

An acquaintance, not quite too long ago, expressed her opinion that a man could be likened to a river. She was of the view that good thoughts should consistently flow from each person to make this world a very happy place.

Often, we do hear the popular saying which suggests that, “Behind every successful man is a good woman” and we quickly give our nod without observing world today just as we look at the mirror from every side. It is a long-standing belief- that of many great personalities who lived in very distant centuries past and those of this present moment -that women since time immemorial outnumber men in every population and should always continue to be so.

Successful men do like good women. Every successful man would want to go in for a good woman in order to gain the liberty to re-evaluate his successes, move a step further and chalk more success. If a large number of women should always opt for a woman to be at the helm of affairs in each democratic environment then women should definitely lead. The idea that it is only a woman who could help a man to be successful at one stage of life or another in his life would have long been a thing of the skeletal past. In reality most women prefer a man to be in power these days despite the world’s pace of enlightenment and progress today.

They base their choice on the grounds that men are courageous and endowed with the strength to assist them. Sad to say, some of such women would go to the extent of kowtowing themselves only to end up depriving a man from his strength and courage.
Is it not for this reason that the Book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible admonishes us all through the facts the mother of King Lemuel taught his son? “Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgement of any of the afflicted”(Proverbs 313-5 KJV).

What stringent reaction should the Body of Christ take connected with the awesome number of female folks who trade their precious bodies for momentary money? Each person’s fervent prayer should be that God Almighty should grant them the blessing that would be uplifting enough to place them in the position where they would not do wrong in order to make ends meet or more appropriately such that they could live comfortably without offending their Creator. To a large extent, do you believe this might help?

Good women are invaluable assets and treasures in all societies. Recent women gender activists do arguably say that they would want women to compete with men under all circumstances. They often do compare themselves with their male folks. Why would they not tell the world that they would be pleased if every woman in the world today strove to bring out inner beauty within her in a way more excellent than their outward beauty? A man should not be the yardstick for passion and comparison, beauty and excellence. In Information Technology the simple terminology for “ports” be they “serial ports(males)” or “parallel ports(females)” * are that they all do play vital roles in sending and receiving data although they are different in appearance. We may certainly wonder and say, If men with commanding strength abound in society everyday, why should a woman be allowed to rule? Women who refuse to see their potentials but belittle themselves due to their weaknesses do not see any good reason as to why they should assume one responsibility or another in this modern world.

Every single individual of this particular generation and those of several others to come have a great deal responsibility resting upon their shoulders. We need to make giant strides and take concrete decisions for others to follow our lead. Any society which does not think of building the strength of its men but sets all its focus upon training women to rule and acquire dominance over their entire male-folk is doing a great harm to humankind.
