LET'S INVOLVE THE CHRISTIAN COUNCIL

Dear Readers,

I find it surprising why our nation does not hitherto have some of our well- renowned Christian leaders appointed to serve on the panel of the Council of State to contribute to our nation's development and progress with good divine counsel and with their intellectual knowledge or expertise.

Ghana is so much blessed with a lot of Christian leaders who would be non- partisan and politically neutral to serve on such a board so in any circumstance where the nation finds itself in a maze such leaders could call upon God to grant and reveal to them the foresight and discerning ability to admonish our political leadership at any point in time to steer the helm of affairs of this nation at any point in time when our nation find itself in situations that our make us "reel to and fro ....stagger"  and that make us feel we are at our "wits end"(Psalm 107:27).

It is high time we involved our Christian Council in all our major decision- making processes.I have the confidence that should we grant them the power to appoint one of their experienced leaders each time a new political leader is appointed to serve on the panel for the Council of State it would augur much more better for our country.

Luckily enough we have three main religions in Ghana: we have our traditional leaders, Muslim leaders as well as Christian leaders.But it is sad to say to that we have not yet fully empowered our Christian Council by appointing  some of their leaders to serve in the membership of our Council of State.

In every facet of life human wisdom has a limitation. It takes divine wisdom to succeed at all times.From biblical history that is if I should refer us back to the Scriptures, let us remember that during the time the three Hebrew Children were in Babylon, it took Daniel of old to pray to receive from God the interpretation to the dream which King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed.

It true that some argue that Christian religion is foreign or alien to Africa but we can see from this instance that Christianity is not bad after all.
