So Ghana Did Not Qualify For 2018 World Cup?

Dear Readers,

So Ghana Did Not Qualify For 2018 World Cup?

I had the chance to interact with a student nurse in one of our government hospitals and the information I gathered from her was that there are no inter college sporting activities for students of such institutions(It would interest you to note that most of these students are even not on Facebook or social media. Has the country lost the battle towards modernity and progress?)

How can Ghana qualify for World Cup sporting activities when most of our country's youth keep displaying an unusual frenzy when they see foreign sports clubs playing matches on television? Why does our country unusually promote foreign sports activities by airing them too often on TV?

Why has our country failed to mobilize the young people in our various tertiary institutions-- nurses training colleges, teacher training colleges , our universities -- by recruiting them into clubs to play to uplift the standards of football in our country?

Most of our young girls indulging in prostitution would consider joining such clubs as a positive alternative and this would help revamp the performance of our nation's national female teams- especially the Black Queens.

I suggest that at the regional levels private investors and individuals should form sports clubs especially female sports clubs to boost the image of female soccer in Ghana.

Our media too should air the sporting activities of our local clubs more than they do for that of foreign clubs with the exception rare cases of foreign clubs where Ghanaians abroad are part of such sports activities.

God bless our Black Stars. God bless Sports in Ghana. God bless Ghana.

May we qualify for subsequent World Cup competitions and perform with more excellence.

Yours faithfully,

Signed
